Please send us a photo of the dog whenever possible, as well as any observations of its temperament, and any details of its case you may have.

PLEASE NOTE: just because it is big and brindle, doesn't make it a Presa

Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to take in mixes.  If we believe the dog you have to be something other then a Presa Canario, we cannot take it.

Unfortunately, it is a fact that sometimes these dogs are not raised well, or in the best conditions.  While we want to do our best for any animal that needs it, we cannot put people at risk unnecessarily.  If the dog you are holding is unusually people aggressive, we are not interested in trying to re home it.  If you wouldn't feel safe adopting  it out, neither would we.

Dog aggression is a different matter, and is expected to some degree in this breed.  A dog aggressive dog can be considered by us.

How to tell if you have a Presa Canario...

Presa will ALWAYS have...
- Brindle or fawn coats
- Full, sickle shaped tapering tails
- Harsh coats
- Droopy lips

Presa will NEVER have...
- Docked tails
- Blue, harlequin or parti- color coats
- Blue eyes
- Red, blue or liver eye rims, lips or noses
- Severe under bite

Presa will COMMONLY have...
- Short cropped ears
- Black facial masks
- White markings on the feet, legs, chest or face
